Description
The ORS/OREF Distinguished Investigator Award is an honorary award jointly presented by the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) and the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF). Established in 2009, it honors an individual with a long-standing, productive career who has significantly contributed to orthopaedic research and to both organizations through scientific achievement and a sustained commitment of time and service.
Rather than supporting a proposed research project, the award recognizes a body of career accomplishments. Selection considers innovative research, leadership, mentorship, professionalism, and volunteer contributions to the orthopaedic research community. The award brings recognition to investigators whose scientific distinction is accompanied by meaningful service to ORS and OREF.
