Key Information: Participants must be presenting authors of an accepted Annual Meeting abstract; applications may precede acceptance.
The Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) Spine Section Elevator Pitch Competition gives emerging spine researchers an opportunity to explain the significance and excitement of their work through a clear, engaging, accessible presentation. Held during the Spine Section session at the 2027 ORS Annual Meeting in San Francisco, the competition is open to undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers presenting research at the meeting.
The ORS Spine Section Elevator Pitch subcommittee will select approximately four to five finalists based on their abstracts’ scientific quality and suitability for an accessible pitch. Finalists will present with a single slide, with the exact duration to be confirmed and expected to be about 60 seconds. Live audience voting will determine the first- and second-place prize winners.
