Description
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources administers the ORV Trail Improvement Fund to maintain established trails and facilities in Michigan’s designated statewide off-road vehicle trail system. It also supports development of new trails and facilities, including public trails, routes and use areas.
The fund additionally supports restoration of natural resources damaged by ORV use. Projects may address upkeep of existing facilities, expansion of public ORV opportunities or repair of affected public lands. The department reviews applications, selects projects and issues grant agreements to sponsors for the upcoming ORV season.
