Description
Osteo Science Foundation’s OMS Research Fellowship supports individuals pursuing a career in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) through a year of hands-on laboratory research and individual mentoring. Fellows work alongside an established oral and maxillofacial surgeon/researcher at a participating research site. The program aims to stimulate a lifelong interest in regenerative medicine research and connect laboratory experience with scientific presentation and publication.
By the end of the appointment, fellows are expected to have generated sufficient data for an abstract or poster at the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) meeting and to submit an abstract or poster to the next AAOMS CSIOMS meeting. Fellows also work with their mentors on submitting a manuscript for publication.
