Description
The School of Mathematics at the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) offers approximately 12 Other Mid-to-Senior Career Level Memberships annually. These memberships support researchers in all areas of mathematics and theoretical computer science, giving successful candidates the freedom to devote themselves full-time to research during a stay at the Institute.
The program is open to researchers at any career stage beyond five years from their Ph.D., including those on sabbatical leave. The School particularly encourages applications from mid-career scientists who are 5–15 years beyond their Ph.D. Memberships usually last one year, although a one-term stay is possible. On-campus housing and other research resources are available, and limited financial support is offered to researchers without sufficient external funds.
