Description
Northwest Minnesota Foundation’s Building Better Lives grants invest in local organizations and community leaders creating opportunities, solving problems, and bringing people together. The program especially supports people and communities that have faced barriers to opportunity. It funds direct services, community engagement, and partnerships that strengthen long-term solutions.
Priorities include strengthening families; mental and physical health and wellness; advancing rural belonging and social cohesion; economic mobility and workforce development; and nonprofit capacity building. Supported work can address essential needs, reduce barriers to care, connect underserved rural communities, create pathways to living-wage employment and business ownership, or improve organizational effectiveness. The program emphasizes solutions shaped by local knowledge, meaningful participation, and accessible services.
