The Building Better Lives grants, offered by the Northwest Minnesota Foundation, support community-driven projects in Northwest Minnesota that aim to strengthen families, promote health and wellness, cultivate welcoming communities, foster economic mobility and workforce development, and build nonprofit capacity. The program is designed to empower local leaders and organizations—especially those serving populations facing barriers to opportunity—by investing in efforts that expand access to resources, encourage civic engagement, and provide pathways to stability and growth. Funding is distributed across three annual cycles and seeks to address a wide range of community priorities, from direct services and nonprofit leadership development to workforce and economic initiatives.
