Description
The Outdoor Equity Grant Program, administered by Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), funds organizations and projects that improve access, representation, meaningful participation, and quality outdoor experiences for Colorado youth and their families. It serves communities traditionally excluded from outdoor recreation and conservation through responsible recreation, environmental education, stewardship, and outdoor-related job and career training.
Funded through Colorado Lottery proceeds, the program is guided by an independent Outdoor Equity Grant Board that reviews applications and awards grants. Its values emphasize communities’ ability to define their own priorities and experiences that instill wonder, excitement, and responsibility for the environment. Supported work includes school and after-school programming, summer camps, outdoor sports, family activities, internships, gear purchases, and outdoor space improvements. New programs, expanded capacity, and existing activities can qualify.
