Description
The Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership program is a national competitive grant program administered by the National Park Service through the Land and Water Conservation Fund. It supports land acquisition, park development, and renovation of outdoor recreation facilities in qualifying urban or urbanized communities. Its goal is to expand and improve lasting public outdoor recreation opportunities.
In New Hampshire, the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources’ Division of Parks and Recreation, Bureau of Community Recreation, coordinates participation with the National Park Service, reviews eligibility, and monitors funded sites. Applications move through the State. Projects are intended to strengthen public recreation infrastructure while preserving assisted property for public outdoor recreation.
