Description
The Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership (ORLP) Program is a competitive grant program under the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act. The National Park Service created it in 2014 and selects projects through a national competition following solicitation and nomination. Oregon Parks and Recreation Department administers the program in Oregon.
ORLP supports the acquisition of land and water for outdoor recreation and the development or renovation of outdoor recreation facilities. Its purpose is to expand and improve places for public outdoor recreation while preserving their recreation use over time. Projects must align with the LWCF Act, the federal LWCF Manual, and Oregon’s Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP).
