Description
The Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership (ORLP) is a nationally competitive National Park Service program within the Land and Water Conservation Fund’s State and Local Assistance Program. In Wisconsin, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) serves as the state lead agency and applies to the National Park Service on behalf of eligible project sponsors.
ORLP funds acquisition of land and water for parks and other public outdoor recreation purposes, development of new outdoor recreation facilities, and renovation of existing facilities. Eligible projects may combine acquisition and development. The program focuses on expanding outdoor recreation opportunities in qualifying urban areas and areas administered by federally recognized Native American Tribes.
