This program funds community-driven projects throughout Maryland that foster environmental stewardship through outreach, education, behavior change, and on-the-ground restoration. Applicants may propose projects in one of four tracks: knowledge building, behavior change, restoration, or a combination of outreach and restoration. The program aims to increase public understanding of environmental issues, promote sustainable behaviors, and implement tangible restoration activities that benefit both the environment and local communities. Partnerships with local organizations and engagement of underrepresented or underserved communities are strongly encouraged.
