Description
The American Institute for Conservation’s Outreach Grant supports projects and activities that improve public understanding of conservation and help under-resourced institutions meet their collection care needs. Supported work can include collaborating with an institution to rehouse collections or presenting a public lecture that raises awareness of the conservation field.
Priority goes to projects that develop community awareness, engage media coverage of conservation activities, and connect conservation practitioners with allied practitioners or the public. The program emphasizes outreach and collection care support. Members of the AIC Education and Training Committee review proposals and recommend awards to the Foundation for Advancement in Conservation (FAIC) board for approval.
