Summary: Supports projects that promote public awareness of conservation and assist under-resourced institutions with collection care needs.
This grant supports projects and activities designed to enhance public understanding of conservation and assist under-resourced institutions with their collection care needs. Eligible projects may include collaborations with institutions for collection rehousing, public lectures to raise awareness of conservation, and other outreach initiatives. Priority is given to proposals that foster community awareness, encourage media engagement, and build connections among conservation professionals, allied practitioners, and the public. Funding can be used for organizational costs, materials, travel, honoraria, site fees, and outreach expenses such as marketing and publicity. The grant is not intended for focused conservation treatment, large-scale assessments, ongoing programming, or activities at the AIC Annual Meeting.
