The Society for Endocrinology’s Outreach Grant supports activities that bring endocrinology and its impact to patients and the wider public. Funding is available to Society members and Society-affiliated patient support groups, including joint applications. The programme has a broad scope rather than a single prescribed project format, supporting public engagement, resource development, and patient engagement and support.
Eligible activities also include scoping Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) before a research study and supporting Endocrine Ambassadors, such as paying speaker travel expenses for a member recruitment event. The Society favours modest requests that allow more initiatives to receive support and asks applicants to explain the value of their proposal and its pathway to impact.
