Description
The Outreach Initiative Program, administered by the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts (SFCA), funds statewide touring and outreach activities that bring arts and cultural experiences to under-served communities throughout Hawaiʻi. The program aims to increase public access to diverse artistic and cultural programming, foster creativity and learning, and strengthen community bonds. Activities must reach at least three islands and focus on rural, socio-economically or geographically disadvantaged areas, as well as groups such as disadvantaged youth, Native or immigrant populations, and individuals with varying abilities. Events are expected to take place in accessible public venues such as senior centers, libraries, and public housing communities.
