Description
The Idaho Workforce Development Council’s Outreach Projects program funds public information and outreach about career education and workforce training opportunities in Idaho. The Council’s Outreach Committee oversees proposals, with a preference for new projects or expansion of existing programs. Outreach may promote existing education and training programs and services that are not funded by the Workforce Development Training Fund.
The program seeks to increase public awareness of, and access to, career education, work-based learning, and training opportunities, while supporting knowledge of Workforce Development Training Fund programs. It shares the Council’s broader goals of expanding pathways to employer-demanded careers, driving wage growth, retaining skilled talent in Idaho, and supporting effective talent pipeline models that can be replicated statewide. Transparent tracking and reporting of workforce outcomes are also priorities.
