    Description

    The Outreach Volunteer of the Year Award, presented by the American Chemical Society (ACS), recognizes the exceptional efforts of volunteers from ACS local sections and international chapters who engage the public and advance chemistry outreach. Awardees receive a small gift and a certificate during an event or meeting, and are further celebrated at the annual ChemLuminary Awards, on ACS social media, and in a dedicated article in Chemical & Engineering News. Since 2021, one Volunteer of the Year is selected by the ACS Committee on Community Activities (CCA) as the Global Outreach Volunteer of the Year.
