The awards combine recognition of exceptional abstracts with travel assistance and complimentary registration for the AAFPRS Annual Meeting, where recipients present their work. Submissions intended for oral presentation are preferred.

The award is part of the Foundation’s broader Awards Program, which recognizes research completed and previously presented at Academy meetings, as well as members’ contributions to the Academy and their communities. The Foundation’s Awards Committee coordinates the program. This travel award focuses specifically on outstanding abstracts and participation in the Annual Meeting.
