Description
The American Association for Anatomy (AAA) presents the Outstanding Mentor Award to recognize members whose sustained commitment to mentoring has shaped others’ training and career development. It honors guidance for students, postdoctoral researchers, junior faculty, and colleagues, including career advice and professional support.
The award emphasizes a mentor’s influence on mentees’ careers, intellectual and personal growth, and entry into the discipline. Nominations should show how the mentor has gone beyond their role as a professor, researcher, or collaborator to support mentees. AAA’s Professional Development Committee reviews nominations.
