The Overseas Faculty Development Seminar Program, offered by the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC), provides fully funded, short-term academic seminars abroad for U.S. higher education faculty and administrators. Conducted in partnership with CAORC member centers, these seminars combine site-based learning, expert-led discussions, and engagement with local institutions and communities. Participants gain firsthand experience with regional dynamics, historical context, and contemporary issues, gathering insights and materials to enhance their teaching, research, and professional practice. Each seminar is tailored to specific themes and audiences, with opportunities for curriculum development, professional growth, and sustained collaboration.
