    Description

    The Community College Faculty Development Seminars, organized by the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC), are short-term, immersive academic programs held abroad in partnership with CAORC member centers. These seminars are designed to deepen participants’ subject-matter knowledge and global perspective through site-based learning, expert-led discussions, and direct engagement with local institutions and communities. Participants gain firsthand exposure to regional dynamics, history, and contemporary issues, and are expected to integrate these experiences into their teaching, research, or professional practice. CAORC offers a variety of seminar formats, including fully funded programs, customized partner seminars, open-enrollment thematic seminars, and a professional certificate program.
