The Overseas Research Fellowship Scheme (ORFS) is a pilot initiative by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC) to support mid-career academic staff from UGC-funded universities in Hong Kong in developing international research collaborations. The program is designed to broaden the global perspective of faculty, enhance research competence, and increase the international visibility of Hong Kong's universities. Fellows are provided with funding to visit overseas institutions, laboratories, research units, or clinical set-ups for immersive research or professional development experiences.
