    Description

The Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) funds studies using rigorous, sophisticated methods and analyses to address novel questions about physician assistant (PA) education, workforce development, and the PA profession. The program aims to promote quality scholarship, increase research capacity and collaboration across institutions, and develop emerging PA researchers. Original research should be informed by a thorough literature review and gap analysis.

All proposals addressing PA education and workforce development are welcome. Funding preferences favor increasing clinical education capacity and promoting general fairness in PA faculty or student recruitment and retention. Projects connecting member institutions or pairing experienced and junior PA faculty researchers receive special consideration. Early-career faculty and applicants who have submitted in previous years are especially encouraged to apply.
