The PAIR program, administered by Institut français, enables cultural organizations in metropolitan France and overseas territories to host international artists for residencies lasting 1 to 3 months. The initiative aims to strengthen connections between French and international artistic communities by supporting collaborative research and creative projects across a wide range of disciplines, including visual arts, photography, cinema, digital creation, literature, design, performing arts, and music. While maintaining a special focus on artists from African art scenes, the program is open to artists from all geographies. Selected host organizations and their chosen artists co-develop residency projects that promote international exchange and artistic innovation.
