    Description

The Program for International Artists in Residence (PAIR), run by the Institut français, funds residencies for foreign artists hosted by professional cultural organizations in metropolitan France and its overseas territories. The program aims to enhance international collaboration and cultural exchange by supporting joint research and creation projects proposed by both the host organization and the invited artist. Residencies last from one to three months and span a broad spectrum of artistic disciplines, including visual arts, performing arts, cinema, digital creation, literature, crafts, design, and music. While PAIR maintains a focus on artists from African art scenes, it is now open to applicants from all global regions. The initiative prioritizes diversity, geographical balance, gender parity, and environmentally responsible projects.
