Description
The Program for International Artists in Residence (PAIR), run by the Institut français, is designed to strengthen artistic exchange by supporting residencies for foreign artists in metropolitan France and its overseas territories. The program enables French cultural organizations to host international artists for residencies lasting between 1 and 3 months, supporting research and creation projects that require the artist’s presence in France. PAIR is open to a wide range of disciplines, including visual arts, photography, cinema, digital creation, literature, crafts, design, performing arts, and music. Each application is a joint submission by the host organization and the artist, and the program aims to foster intercultural dialogue and mobility, with a particular (but not exclusive) emphasis on artists from the African continent.
