    Description

The Palaeontological Association’s Engagement Grants support educational outreach, public engagement, and related initiatives in palaeontology. Funding can support complete, stand-alone projects or proof-of-concept case studies that deliver their own outcomes while laying the groundwork for a larger funding bid elsewhere. The programme favours projects with a single purpose rather than top-ups for existing work.

The Association particularly encourages imaginative and innovative engagement, including new media and activities that disseminate good practice. Projects supporting underrepresented groups in palaeontology are also encouraged. Proposals must align with the Association’s charitable aims and are assessed on their reach, impact, feasibility, cost effectiveness, and the investigator’s engagement and education record. The Association Council’s Public Engagement Group is reviewing the programme, with updates to its rubric and budgets to follow.
