    Description

The Palaeontological Association’s Small Grants Scheme brings together three donor-supported awards for palaeontological research: the Sylvester-Bradley Awards, the Whittington Award, and the Stan Wood Award. The scheme supports research travel, museum visits, fieldwork, and analytical costs for projects aligned with the Association’s charitable aims. Applicants use one application form, and the Association assigns successful projects to the appropriate award.

The scheme is open to all Association members, with preference given to students, early career researchers, and avocational members. Its awards cover palaeontological research broadly, collections-based projects, and vertebrate palaeontology, ideally involving fieldwork and fossil collecting. Bequests and annual membership donations sustain the scheme.
