The Palestinian American Research Center (PARC) supports field-based research contributing to Palestinian Studies through its 28th annual Palestinian research fellowship competition. The program funds individual and joint projects, including research conducted by groups, in the arts, humanities, social sciences, public health, and environmental studies. Purely scientific research is not eligible.
Research must take place in Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, or Lebanon. Proposals concerning the occupied Golan Heights are welcome within a comparative framework with Palestine. PARC prioritizes significant, under-researched, original topics and new perspectives that advance both the applicant’s field and Palestinian Studies. Applications from PhD students and junior faculty are especially encouraged, as are applications from and about the Gaza Strip through the Gaza Research Initiative.
