Description
This grant, offered by the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) Special Education Services Section, provides funding to Alabama Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to develop and implement high-quality parent training and counseling initiatives. The goal is to strengthen partnerships between parents/guardians of children with disabilities and schools, equipping families with the knowledge and skills needed to support their child's special education needs and the implementation of their Individualized Education Program (IEP). Funding supports both universal and targeted parent training, as well as counseling services when determined necessary by the IEP team, with a focus on improving educational outcomes for students with disabilities.
