Description
The Park and Recreation Development (PARD) Fund is a state-funded, noncompetitive, reimbursable grant program administered by the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism. It supports eligible local governments and special purpose district entities that provide recreational opportunities within South Carolina’s counties.
PARD assists with the development of new public recreation facilities and the enhancement or renovation of existing facilities. Its focus is public recreation facility development, rather than research or scientific work. Funding is allocated at the county level, with eligible entities notified of new allocation amounts each July.
