Key Information: An eligible Canadian institution must apply, with additional cash and/or in-kind contributions totaling at least 35% of the SSHRC request.
Description
SSHRC’s Partnership Grants support large teams of postsecondary institutions and organizations working through new or existing formal partnerships. Partnerships share intellectual leadership, governance and resources to advance social sciences and humanities research, research training and/or knowledge mobilization. Existing partnerships must propose new activities distinct from their previous or ongoing work.
Supported approaches include disciplinary and interdisciplinary research, cross-sector knowledge co-creation, research networks, partnered knowledge mobilization, chairs, research centres and research training initiatives. Indigenous research and research-creation are welcomed. Proposals normally address Research Partnerships program objectives; exclusively partnered research training initiatives instead address Research Training and Talent Development objectives. Training, mentoring and employability plans for students and emerging scholars are important components of assessment.
