Description
The Bama Works Fund, established by Dave Matthews Band and administered by the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, provides grants to support community initiatives that focus on youth development and wellbeing, accessibility of essential needs, protection of the environment, and the arts and humanities. The Fund emphasizes projects that create meaningful, positive impact in these areas, particularly within Charlottesville and the surrounding counties. Proposals should clearly demonstrate benefit to the broader community and align with the Fund’s mission of fostering positive change.
The Fund does not support endowment programs, fundraising events, annual appeals, or grants to individuals. It is open to public and private schools, as well as nonprofit organizations and projects with fiscal sponsorship.
