The Pasteur International Joint Research Unit (PIU) is a five-year, virtual platform designed to foster high-impact, collaborative research between two or three international institutions, with at least one from the Institut Pasteur or its global network. The program aims to bring together complementary expertise to address innovative research topics, strengthen global scientific cooperation, and enhance the visibility and impact of participating teams. Each PIU is co-led by representatives from each partner institution, who retain their administrative affiliations while sharing scientific responsibility for the project. The initiative is intended to facilitate scientific synergies, build robust institutional relationships, and attract significant external funding to support impactful scientific endeavors.
