The Paul F. Glenn Centers for Biology of Aging Research are a consortium of institution-based centers supported by the Glenn Foundation for Medical Research. The program supports centers of excellence in basic research into the biology of aging, with the goal of extending healthy years of life alongside lifespan. It represents the Foundation’s largest individual grant commitment through the Glenn Center Award.
The current consortium was selected for the reputation and strength of its institutions and the leadership demonstrated by individual principal investigators in the biology of aging. The Foundation’s Board of Directors draws on its executive officers, Senior Scientific Advisor, and Scientific Advisory Board to select centers and conduct ongoing scientific review.
