This fellowship provides two one-year postdoctoral Visiting Fellowships in Naval and Maritime History at the Institute of Historical Research (IHR), University of London. Supported by the Alan Pearsall Bequest and the IHR, the program aims to help early-career historians advance their research and professional development. Fellows receive comprehensive mentorship, including career guidance, job and fellowship application support, mock interviews, and advice on publication and grant proposals. Additional benefits include access to the Wohl Library, electronic resources, seminars, events, research training courses, and exclusive workshops. Projects may focus on any aspect of naval and maritime history from the fall of the Roman Empire to the present day.
