Description
Mayo Clinic’s Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Residency provides three years of comprehensive training in Rochester, Minnesota. Residents care for children and adolescents with everyday pediatric conditions as well as complex and rare disorders. Individualized mentorship and flexible electives support careers in primary care, subspecialty care, research, medical education, and global health.
Research electives and a formal Research Track offer fully funded scholarly opportunities, dedicated resources, and tailored mentorship. The track supports careers combining clinical pediatrics with biomedical, translational, clinical, or health services research through American Board of Pediatrics (ABP)–approved pathways. Residents can pursue research without matching into the track. Conference travel support, paid educational time off, academic coaching, and global health scholarships provide additional support for professional development.
