The Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA), in partnership with the Society for Pediatric Dermatology (SPD), supports the development of consensus guidelines, best practice recommendations, and consensus treatment plans for pediatric skin diseases in the United States and/or Canada. The program addresses gaps in up-to-date, evidence-based guidance that contribute to variation in clinical practice and can limit access to treatment.
Projects may address a disease of the team's choice using a rigorous consensus methodology. Priority goes to diseases without contemporary guidelines and proposals using established consensus methods. The resulting recommendations can inform treatment decisions, reimbursement, medication formularies, and standard-of-care comparisons in clinical trials. Applicants may choose funding with centralized project support or a larger award without that support.
