The Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA) offers Emerging Investigator Research Grants to support short-term mentored research experiences focused on childhood skin disease. The program responds to the burden these diseases place on patients, families, and healthcare providers, limited effective treatments, and the slow pace of research. Projects help medical students, pediatric residents, and recent graduates build research skills and relationships while contributing meaningful outcomes to pediatric dermatology.
The program advances PeDRA’s mission to prevent, treat, and cure childhood skin disease while developing future leaders in the field. Priority goes to projects demonstrating meaningful, sustained engagement with patient advocacy communities and alignment with the scientific focus, strategic priorities, and ongoing initiatives of PeDRA’s Focused Study Groups.
