The Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA) Research Fellowships Program supports one year of mentored research for post-graduate trainees and medical students in pediatric dermatology. It aims to advance active research projects and develop the next generation of physician scientists addressing childhood skin disease. The program responds to the substantial burden these diseases place on children, families, and health care providers, alongside limited effective treatments and slow research progress.
Priority consideration goes to projects demonstrating meaningful and sustained engagement with the patient advocacy community. Additional priority goes to work aligned with the scientific focus, strategic priorities, and ongoing initiatives of PeDRA’s Focused Study Groups. Past fellowships have addressed disease biology, treatment outcomes, quality of life, caregiver decision-making, and barriers to care.
