Description
Peer Grants are part of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Community Conservation Partnership Program. They help local governments build capacity for recreation, parks, green infrastructure, and conservation by contracting with a professional to complete a special-purpose plan. The work focuses on a specific need identified collaboratively by the grantee and its partners.
Funded planning can address intergovernmental cooperation, capacity-building opportunities, broader strategies, or a particular site. Examples also include facility, revenue, and operations plans, as well as walkability and Safe Routes to Parks assessments.
