Description
Peer Grants from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) help municipalities contract with a professional to complete special-purpose plans. The program builds capacity for recreation, green infrastructure, and conservation projects by addressing local planning and operational needs. It supports both broader cooperation and strategy and more focused planning for sites, facilities, and access to parks.
Supported work includes intergovernmental cooperation, capacity-building opportunities, strategic plans, site-specific plans, and facility, revenue, and operations plans. Walkability and Safe Routes to Parks assessments are also eligible examples.
