The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Product Promotion, Education, and Export Promotion Matching Grant Program supports nonprofit organizations working with agricultural products grown, raised, or produced in Pennsylvania. Projects may research market opportunities, educate producers and consumers about those opportunities, or develop export markets. Agricultural products include hardwoods and wood- or fiber-based products.
The program prioritizes export market development, especially in western African and Caribbean Basin nations; consumer awareness of hardwood lumber and value-added products, particularly black cherry, oaks, and maples; marketing through PA Preferred or PA Preferred Organic; and promotion of Pennsylvania’s cider industry. Applicants with experience marketing agricultural products outside the United States receive priority.
