This traveling fellowship is designed to advance the continuing education of board-certified perfusionists by enabling them to visit another institution and learn unique cardiovascular perfusion techniques, simulation approaches, and innovative technologies. The goal is for recipients to bring back new knowledge and skills to improve the care of cardiothoracic surgery patients at their home institution. The fellowship is aimed at perfusionists who demonstrate excellence in training, leadership, and achievement, and who are situated in environments that encourage ongoing professional development in cardiovascular perfusion education.
