Description
The Perot-Fiero Foundation Fund, administered by the Community Foundation of Central Georgia, supports organizations and churches providing practical assistance to their community. Supported services include tutoring, meal and feeding programs, transportation, assistance for people with physical or mental disabilities, and home repairs for those in need. Grants support services through organizations rather than direct awards to individuals.
The fund continues the generosity of Erwin A. Fiero, Jr., known as “Beetle,” whose teaching, Scouting, and volunteer service included tutoring, transporting people with disabilities, delivering Thanksgiving meals to elderly residents, and repairing homes. Its areas of particular interest are children, youth, and families; education; health and human services; and faith-based organizations.
