The Pete Wilson Journalism Scholarship is administered by the RTDNA Foundation, the educational arm of the Radio Television Digital News Association. Established in 2007 in memory of Pete Wilson, a San Francisco television and radio journalist, it supports the education of an undergraduate or graduate student from or studying in the San Francisco Bay Area who shares his commitment to ethical, responsible journalism.
The scholarship is part of the Foundation’s broader support for young journalists pursuing careers in radio, television, and digital news. Alongside financial assistance, the recipient is invited to Washington, D.C., for the First Amendment Awards and a day of professional-development training and networking with industry leaders.
