The Peter J. Dunn Awards, established by the ACS Green Chemistry Institute Pharmaceutical Roundtable (ACS GCIPR), honor excellence in the research, development, and execution of green chemistry within the pharmaceutical industry and its allied partners. The award specifically recognizes significant achievements in developing greener and more sustainable synthetic routes, processes, reaction conditions, and manufacturing technologies for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) or intermediates. Submissions must detail accomplishments at a meaningful scale, demonstrating reductions in process mass intensity, waste minimization, improved robustness, and reduced environmental, health, and safety impacts. The award is presented at the annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference, where recipients are invited to present their work.
