Description
Two Sigma’s PhD Fellowship supports doctoral students whose research pushes the frontiers of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Relevant fields include applied mathematics, artificial intelligence and computer science, finance and econometrics, physics, and statistics. The fellowship invests in researchers working on quantitative questions and aims to help develop future STEM leaders.
Recipients receive support for continued academic work, and both recipients and runners-up are assigned a Two Sigma Research Mentor. Senior researchers across Two Sigma review candidates’ research proposals, experience, letters of recommendation, and academic performance, considering the significance of the work and the candidate’s contribution to it.
