Description
The Gerda Henkel Stiftung offers PhD Scholarships to support early-career researchers undertaking doctoral studies in the historical humanities. The program is open to candidates worldwide, regardless of nationality or location, and emphasizes independent research projects with a strong historical focus. Approximately 50 scholarships are awarded annually. Eligible fields include archaeology, art history, historical Islamic studies, history, history of science, history of law, prehistory, and early history. Projects from neighboring disciplines may be considered if the core research question is historical.
