--- ## Description This program funds research and outreach projects aimed at protecting California vineyards from serious pests and diseases, with a focus on Pierce’s disease, the glassy-winged sharpshooter, and related threats. The grant supports both fundamental and applied work, emphasizing projects likely to deliver practical, sustainable solutions to challenges facing the winegrape industry. Funding is provided by a special assessment paid by California winegrape growers, and the program encourages multidisciplinary and collaborative approaches.
