Description
The Pierre & Patricia Bikai Fellowship, administered by the American Center of Research (ACOR), supports enrolled graduate students conducting archaeological research in Jordan. It provides a short residency at ACOR in Amman, with room and board and a monthly stipend, so recipients can continue study or research after a field project has concluded. The fellowship supports this period of study at the center rather than fieldwork itself.
Established in 2006, the fellowship honors Pierre and Patricia Bikai, who served as ACOR’s Director and Associate Director from 1991 to 2006. Their leadership supported the center’s growth, fellowships, archaeological projects, and publications contributing to the study of Jordan’s archaeology and cultural heritage.
