Description
This annual prize recognizes outstanding student essays that explore any aspect of the Ibero-American world during the "long" eighteenth century (approximately 1680–1830). Supported by the Ibero-American Society Fund and managed by the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (ASECS) in partnership with the Ibero-American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (IASECS), the award encourages interdisciplinary scholarship across history, literature, art history, philosophy, cultural studies, and related fields. The winning essay receives a monetary award, a two-year IASECS membership, and is considered for publication.
