The Alzheimer’s Research UK Pilot Award is designed to support early-stage, high-risk, high-reward research projects that have the potential to unlock new directions in dementia research. This scheme enables researchers at all career stages—including those new to dementia research—to generate preliminary data, test innovative hypotheses, and establish multidisciplinary collaborations. The Pilot Award is particularly focused on bold, exploratory projects that do not require extensive preliminary data, encouraging new partnerships and approaches that could lay the groundwork for larger-scale future funding.
