Description
This grant provides one-year, non-renewable pilot funding for established investigators at UCSF to pursue innovative projects across biomedical research, including basic science, clinical and translational science, health policy, social science, digital health, and population science. The primary goal is to generate preliminary data supporting future publications and subsequent external funding. Projects may include feasibility or proof-of-concept studies, especially those using digital or mobile health technologies, and those addressing unmet needs in health outcomes. The mechanism encourages novel research not already funded by other specific UCSF pilot programs and fosters advancement in fields such as reproductive health, cancer, rheumatology, musculoskeletal biology, and dental research.
