Description
UCSF’s Resource Allocation Program (RAP) brings together multiple funding agencies to support established investigators conducting biomedical pilot research. Supported fields include fundamental basic science, clinical and translational science, health policy, social science, digital health, and population science. Projects should collect data for publications and build a foundation for successful subsequent funding. Proposals outside the specific participating funders’ subject areas remain eligible under this grant mechanism.
Digital health projects may use mobile technology with the Internet and social media to improve wellness or manage disease, including applications used by patients, clinicians, or community care workers. Feasibility studies assessing technology access or adoption barriers are also appropriate. Participating funders support reproductive health, rheumatic and autoimmune disease, musculoskeletal disease, dental and craniofacial research, cancer research, and health initiatives connected to Mount Zion.
