Description
This program provides one-year pilot funding (up to $50,000) for established investigators at UCSF to catalyze innovative research across a broad spectrum of biomedical fields, including fundamental basic science, clinical and translational research, health policy, social science, digital health, and population science. Projects are expected to generate preliminary data to support future publications and competitive funding applications. Interdisciplinary and digital health projects, including those leveraging mobile technology, are strongly encouraged. The mechanism aims to support feasibility studies, address unmet needs, or introduce significant improvements to current practices, with a focus on fostering research that can lead to subsequent, larger-scale funding.
