Summary: Supports clinical and translational pilot studies in Georgia that generate preliminary data and establish feasibility for full investigations.
The Georgia Clinical & Translational Science Alliance (Georgia CTSA) Pilot Grants program supports preliminary, preparatory, and feasibility research that advances clinical and translational science in Georgia. It invests in new research approaches and builds multidisciplinary and inter-institutional research networks across the consortium’s four academic partners. Projects may assess new technologies, protocols, data collection instruments, or subject recruitment strategies as stepping-stones toward full hypothesis-testing investigations.
The program provides start-up and proof-of-concept resources to generate preliminary data and demonstrate the feasibility of novel experimental tools and concepts. It particularly supports new investigators, established scientists moving beyond their traditional disciplines, and new trans-disciplinary teams. Funding builds on resources available at partner institutions and encourages young faculty to develop cutting-edge science.
